To whom it may concern –
The Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts non-profit society is pleased to formally and publicly support the Kamloops Centre for the Arts society since September 2019 at our regular monthly meeting.
Daniela O’Fee, KCA Membership Committee representative was invited to present at our regular September meeting regarding the KCA membership drive. The outcome was all of our KFPA membership in attendance becoming members along with individual KFPA members taking a ‘membership sheet’ and signing up near to 200 additional members.
At the October regular monthly meeting KFPA followed up and passed the following motion of support – “The KFPA in principle supports the Kamloops Centre for the Arts Society.”
In addition the KFPA KCA Cinch Bag Campaign is meant to increase the public profile, discussions and resource awareness through to the April 4th referendum.
As an example of the need for a new performing arts building, the Sagebrush Theatre closure for KFPA Festival 2019 was devastating to our 1300+ participant 3-week festival and dramatically demonstrated the facilities limitations within the City of Kamloops.
The KFPA has an 87-year history in Kamloops and we look forward to continuing to nurture performing arts in Kamloops through projects such as the KCA and supporting the April 4th referendum!
We wish you all the success on your campaign trails and we will join wherever we can through to April 4th!
Respectfully,
Annette Glover, on behalf of the KFPA
