March 4, 2020, Kamloops, BC — The Kamloops Accommodation Association (KAA) is a non-profit organization that represents the more than 50 member hotels and motels in the city of Kamloops.
The KAA board of directors believe that by voting “Yes” for this project, we’re voting “Yes” to a facility that will be for residents and travellers alike. This centre will enhance the lives of our citizens by providing a place for them and their families to rehearse, spectate and perform, and it will provide another reason for travellers to visit our city and to stay in our hotels and motels.
Our association members believe that visitors to Kamloops are looking for options when it comes to activities and experiences, but the facilities to effectively showcase our talented arts organizations are severely lacking. This centre promises to close the gap that currently exists because of facilities that are not functionally able to meet the demands of travelling groups nor our local arts groups.
This centre will be a major economic driver for our whole city, both during construction phase and once it is operational. The economic impact will positively be felt by many businesses including restaurants, retail and accommodators to name a few.
The Kamloops Accommodation Association board of directors encourage all of our member properties and individuals to support the Kamloops Centre for the Arts referendum,
Sincerely,
Kamloops Accommodation Association Board of Directors
